Homosexuality-Are we Ready for it??????????
Some days bak a gigantic, memorable and historic stepwas taken that seemed to pulling India’s name out of the conservative and backward countries list…..(hopefully it will)
But what m talking about is the fact that on 2nd July Thursday,2009 India’s judicial system showed a new face of Young India with a unique perspective and vision in mind……..
On this very day Delhi High Court delivered a historic judgement to amend a 149 yr old colonial-era-law,(i.e)section 377 of IPC which now has been decriminalized…..
Section 377 stated that-“Amaximum penalty of life sentence on anybody who has carnal intercourse against the order of the nature with any man, women or animal….”
This was really a tough and brave decision by Indian judiciary, given the fact that so mnay people were against it,n it was turned down in so many courts earlier……
This decision has attracted public wrath, anger of all the communities and their respective heads…whether it be Maulan ji for Islam, whether it b Pandit ji for hindus Rabbi ji for Sikhs and Clergy for Christianity…for the first tym they are all together just to oppose this decision…..
They never took such a step wen half of country’s men died in wars, wen our people were killed in terrorism, wen people died in natural disasters, for people who are still nursing their wounds form kashmir trauma…
Just there gurus bother about is the publicity, the media platform….
For me the aim of religion is to unite people and guide them, and these people who always say they have reached the a state of salvation or the moksha which according to my knowledge means uniting your mind and soul with the almighty and just freeing your body from the cycle of birth and death, something like dat na??????
Then y are these people worried about handful of homosexuals in a population of 100 crores and still going strong…………
My point is dat is homosexuality such a crime or sin that person suffering or following it should b hangeD or killed????
Dnt these people have feelings??
Arn”t they human being????
Dn they have a right To live??
They may b different but they are humans, they were made by the god like dat, isn’t so??
Or else y wud a guy go against norms of society and attract public hatred just to fall in love with a guy………
Or y wud a grl leave aside a handsome and desirable man to b in a arms of a grl…..think abt is???
I think wen god has given them birth and made them like that then may b he has something written for them, and v r no one to question the mother nature or the existence…!!!!!
Then y cnt v leave them alone and happy in their own self, and let them live and die peacefully?????
I dn think dats too mach to ask for from us,as we say v r d humans,v can let them live peacefully, can v??????????? Think over it………….!!!!!

“OUT, OUT BRIEF CANDLE”
PLAY PRODUCED & DIRECTED BY LILLETE DUBEY
WRITTEN BY
MAHESH DATTANI
MONDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2009
AT…………………
Tentatively titled "Out, Out Brief Candle" (a quote from Shakespear’s 'Macbeth') the play is the latest offering from Mahesh Dattani, the noted playwright. It is produced and directed by the talented and versatile actress Lilette Dubey who says, “I wanted very much to do a play that addressed mortality and highlighted life, and which spoke of how, it was not important how long we lived but rather how richly we lived our lives.”
Though set in a hospice for terminally ill patients the tone of the play is upbeat and illuminating. It is a hilarious bedroom farce with some extremely funny situations revolving around a hotel room near the airport. As the characters in the play await their departures, which are delayed due to a storm, they end up in comic situations, as they entangle themselves in surreptitious dalliances and complicated love affairs.
We are appealing to you to make this fundraiser a success by becoming one of the main sponsors and/or buying a block of donor passes. The cost of organizing the entire event, including the royalty fee to artists, is approximately Rs. 6 lacs. The main sponsors will receive an attractive benefit package.

‘WALK FOR LIFE’
ON SUNDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2010
AT VINAY MARG, SHANTI PATH, CHANAKYAPURI
Walk Now and Help Save Lives!
The purpose of our annual Walk for Life is to create awareness and concern among the public about cancer which is on the rise in India. Despite the fact that there is today clear and convincing evidence that action on smoking, diet and infections can prevent one third of cancers, while another third can be cured if caught early, almost 80% of people with cancer in India are diagnosed too late for a cure. This must change.
After two consecutive years of successfully organizing the Walk for Life and raising funds for our much needed services, CanSupport is looking forward to its next Walk for Life to be held on Sunday the 7th of February, 2010.
More than 3000 people, from all walks of life, participated in this year’s Walk It was flagged off and led by Smt. Gursharan Kaur, wife of the Prime Minister, who expressed her desire to do all that she could to increase awareness about cancer. As she remarked, “This walk is a great way to reach out to people, and tell them that early detection can make all the difference in a cancer patient’s life.”
Besides locals and expats, cancer survivors and members of their families, there was group participation from corporates, clubs, schools, colleges, embassies and local walking clubs. Celebrities and ordinary citizens all rubbed shoulders with each other that morning to express their solidarity with and support for those affected by cancer.
We are appealing to you to make our coming Walk for Life an even bigger success by becoming one of our sponsors and/or registering as a participating group. The cost of organizing the entire event is approximately Rs.25 lacs. The main sponsors will receive an attractive benefit package.
For further information, please call Bhavna or Rishita on any working day between 10 am and 5 pm at 26102851, 26102869.
